Sycamore wood is rarely rot, but it is not without such a situation. Many friends do not know how to solve the problem when they are sick, and may not be able to recognize the symptoms. Today we will briefly introduce you.

The main hazard of rot disease lies in the separation of the diseased part from the sycamore wood. For example, the bark falls off, the branches and leaves are dry, and the diseased part loses water seriously, which affects the development of the tree, and the diseased part rots and softens, with a slight vinasse smell.

symptom:

At the beginning of the onset, it is difficult to identify from the outside. If you open the epidermis of the branches, you can see dark brown and reddish-brown wet spots or yellow-brown dry spots. Sometimes, the internal lesion area is larger, but it is still difficult to identify from the outside. . When the damage is severe, the cortex decays and becomes necrotic, and it sinks when pressed with a finger. The diseased skin is easily peeled off, the rotten skin is reddish brown, and it smells of lees when it is wet. In the later stage of the disease, the diseased part loses water and shrinks, turns dark brown and sinks, and produces small black-brown dots on it, that is, the conidia of the pathogen, which becomes the source of infection for the recurrence. In addition to infecting the branches and trunks, it sometimes also infects the fruits.

In addition, the disease may be caused by freezing damage, excessive pruning, and mechanical damage, so pay more attention.

Incidence conditions:

The prevention and control of pests and diseases is not in place. Trees suffered from wounds caused by branch and stem pests, and a large number of fallen leaves caused by early leaf defoliation affected the photosynthesis of leaves, and the lack of nutrients in the tree body weakened the tree's vigor and easily induced rot disease.

Wound infection. If the pruning is too heavy or improper pruning, the cut and saw cuts are too much, and the wound protection is not in place after pruning, which can cause a lot of water loss and cause a large outbreak of rot.

The soil is barren. The content of organic matter in the soil of the nursery is low, the nutrient supply to the tree is insufficient, the tree is weak, and the rot disease is aggravated.

It's cold. In spring, the Phyllostachys vulgaris tree enters the growth state, and the temperature suddenly drops sharply, which damages the already active tree body transporting tissues and is easily infected by pathogens and forms canker spots.

Large temperature difference. Due to thermal expansion and contraction, the bark will crack and the surface layer will become necrotic. It is easy to be invaded and damaged by pathogens, and the epidermal necrosis will appear.

Low temperature damage. In early winter, the temperature drops sharply, causing the branches and trunks to freeze, forming necrotic tissues, and reducing disease resistance. At this time, the germs are easy to latent and have many opportunities to hide.

Methods of prevention and treatment of rot disease:

1. Strengthening cultivation management, enhancing tree vigor, and improving tree body resistance are basic measures to prevent and control sycamore wood rot. For example, do a good job of thinning flowers and fruits, prevent large and small years, reasonably load, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and organic fertilizers, and water in a timely manner.

2. Reasonable fertilization and improvement of the soil: reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, increase the use of organic biological bacterial fertilizers, improve the soil environment, reduce and eliminate harmful soil bacteria with bacteria, ensure the health of the root system of sycamore trees, and eliminate unreasonable fertilization and soil Fatong root rot caused by deterioration!

3. Scrape and apply medicine in time. When the new skin layer is formed from May to June without surface ulcers, the main trunk and main branches should be coated with Rot Biqing stock solution, or the trunk and main branches should be sprayed with thiophanate methyl. In addition, in late autumn, early winter, or before germination, spray rot 50 times liquid or lime sulfur mixture 5 degrees to eliminate latent pathogens and reduce the amount of pathogens.
